On May 30th twelve new Scholars in the RAN Advocate Institute's Focus on Research Program will attend the American Society of Clinical Oncology's annual meeting in Chicago, IL.
The ASCO Annual Meeting (http://am.asco.org) brings together more than 25,000 oncology professionals from a broad range of specialties, making it an excellent venue for exploring the theme of the Meeting — "Science and Society" The class members will attend cutting-edge scientific presentations and comprehensive educational content.
This is the tenth class of Scholars. Each individual scholar has worked hard for the past few months to prepare for attending the large oncology meeting. The group has developed individual research skills and shared thoughts about research for their specific disease site by completing a backgrounder briefing document and attending webinars about the research process.
