Research Engagement
Personalized Medicine & Targeted Therapies
New technologies and scientific discoveries are changing the way we think about and treat a wide range of diseases including cancer.
Research Advocacy Network has taken the lead in educating advocates and the public about genomics and proteomics and the need for biospecimens to advance the science driving more individualized therapies.
Activities to advance this area include:
- Awareness events with Gilda's Club/Wellness Community (now Cancer Support Community)
- Participation as patient advocates on the National Cancer Institute Early Detection Research Network (EDRN)
- Presentations and articles for the National Cancer Institute Clinical Proteomics Technologies for Cancer (CPTC)
